Marty Hausberger, News Director


Marty is the news director and morning news anchor/reporter for WICH, WCTY, WNLC and WKNL.  Previously, he was assistant bureau chief for Metro Networks in Hartford where he anchored for radio stations in Hartford, New Haven and New London.  He was also the state capitol correspondent, covering the governor and legislature. Marty started in Connecticut at WVVE-FM, “The Wave” in both sales and news.   A native of Kentucky, Marty is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.   He bleeds “BLUE” for UK football and basketball.  Marty lives in East Lyme with his wife Angie and their three kids, Camden, Audrey and Amanda along with their dog, Checkers.  Marty coaches youth baseball, basketball, and soccer.  He enjoys cycling, golf and tennis.

Favorite comfort food or guilty pleasure? Don’t have either but favorite desert is pecan pie.

What’s the story behind a time when you got locked out? Too numerous to remember the exact circumstances.  Out of car or house, it was a combination of being in too big a hurry or just chronic lame-brain-ness
