Thanks for the calls. Always good to handle your questions and observations.

The last caller asked about the Microsoft bad stuff remover. This is the link to the page at Microsoft where it explains what this is, and download for this great tool. If you are running the 64bit version of Windows7, you have to get the 64 bit version of the tool. 64 bit Link. Get it. It updates every month and it does good things.

One very good malware remover is called Malwarebytes. Link here. There is a free version, that works when it is run, and a paid version that gives you realtime protection

A very good virus protection that many businesses use, and is available for home users also is Eset NOD32. Weird name I know, but a very good protector, that does not hog system resources> ESET NOD32 – fast, effective, and lightweight antiviral software – save 25% on a 2-year subscription

There is also Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 – Protect your PC year with an expert antivirus solution specially created for home users.

The free thing of the month was my recommendation of Instapaper.com. You drag a button to your toolbar in your web browser, and when you come on a link that you want to read later on, click the button that says “read later” It keeps a link for you to the web page. When you are done, if you want to bookmark the info, you can add it to your own bookmarks, or add the info to an Evernote account or your Delicious bookmarks. Either way Instapaper is a great free service. If you use it and like it, consider throwing the author a few bucks via a donation or buy the premium version. http://www.instapaper.com/

And finally we talked about the Google robotic cars. It seems they are interested in more than just making money and doing searches. You can read more: New York Times or Red Herring.
